HIV positive patients’ medical records LEAKED in data breach affecting more than 1,000 people

The medical records of more than 1,000 people in Singapore living with HIV have been leaked in the latest data breach. According to local LGBTI organisation, Oogachaga, people affected by the breach have been diagnosed with HIV since 2010. Worryingly, the data leaked could be used to identify these people. Ireland’s Data Protection Commission Opens Statutory Inquiry into Twitter Over GDPR

Ireland’s Data Protection Commission (DPC) is investigating Twitter’s compliance with its obligations under the GDPR. DPC said on Friday that it has been examining wheter Twitter has implemented technical and organisational measures to ensure the safety and safeguarding of the personal data it processes. This investigation commenced in November 2018 following receipt of a number of breach notifications from the company since the introduction of the GDPR
